Jim Fraser DDS, MS
Dr. Fraser is a southeast Michigan native, born and raised in Port Huron. He grew up an avid hockey player and was fortunate enough to represent numerous US National Teams. He played four years of varsity NCAA Division I hockey at Harvard and was elected team captain his senior season.
Dentistry has always been a significant part of his life as both his father and older sister are practicing general dentists. His mother is a dental hygienist and the office manager for their family practice.
After one year playing professional hockey, Dr. Fraser decided to pursue a career in dentistry where he attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After dental school, he completed three years of orthodontic specialty training at the University at Buffalo where he researched the anatomical limits of tooth movement, utilizing 3-D imaging technology to improve efficiency and treatment success in orthodontics.
In his spare time, he enjoys running marathons, playing ice hockey, water and snow skiing, and reading. Dr. Fraser lives locally with his wife, Alyssa, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and their sons, James and Oliver. They truly love the Plymouth/Canton community!

Jake Schering DDS, MS
Dr. Schering is an orthodontist who was born and raised in southeast Michigan. He attended Michigan State University where he graduated with a degree in Human Biology and played varsity hockey for the Spartans. He then completed his doctorate degree at the University of Michigan where he graduated in the top of his class. While in dental school, Dr. Schering received numerous awards for clinical performance, research, and academics. He completed his masters degree and certificate in orthodontics at the University of Minnesota. (Love BIG 10 country!)
His focus on the digital advances in orthodontics allow our patients to achieve the best treatment results in shorter times and with fewer visits to the office. Dr. Schering regularly attends local study clubs and has even lectured internationally on treatments for class III malocclusions in Spain. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Association of Orthodontists, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Schering lives locally with his wife Colleen, daughters Rowan and Lyla, and dog Cooper. He enjoys an active lifestyle, golfing, hockey (Go Wings!), reading, yoga, and community service.
